The Cooperation in Management of Phetchaburi Rive

Abstract

               This research is a study of cooperation on management of the Petchaburi River. The objectives are to study the condition of Petchaburi river, identify the form of cooperation, the issues and obstacles including to understand the tendency of Management of Petchaburi River in the future.

                The Petchaburi River in the study area has been changed its condition from the past. At present, the management of the river is in a satisfiable level and tends to be improved in the future. The cooperation on management of the Petchaburi River will be in accordance with the characters of the issues including pollution, weed and erosion. The management, consists of 4 types which are; conservation, reconstruction, supervision and utilization. Such management is supported by the state agency and private organization. Nevertheless, the people are the main factor leading the management to be successful. The issues and obstacles are coordination, lack of leaders, continuity and budget.

                The tendency of cooperation on management of the Petchaburi River in the future is realized presently. The preparedness in coordination of preservation is increasing. Therefore, it is possible that the cooperation on management of the Petchaburi River tends to be improved in the future.
