Factors influencing safety participation and safety compliance of Fuel Transport Truck Drivers of Goodteam Enterprise Company Limited
Abstract
The objectives of this research are: (1) to study on factors influencing on safety knowledge including safety climate, safety communication and feedback, safety rules and procedures of fuel transport truck drivers of Goodteam Enterprise Company Limited; (2) to study on factors influencing safety motivation including safety climate, safety communication and feedback, safety rules and procedures of fuel transport truck drivers of Goodteam Enterprise Company Limited; (3) to study on factors influencing safety participation behavior including safety knowledge and safety motivation of fuel transport truck drivers of Goodteam Enterprise Company Limited; (4) to study on factors influencing safety compliance behavior including safety knowledge and safety motivation of fuel transport truck drivers of Goodteam Enterprise Company Limited. The research methodology used by the researcher was quantitative research. Questionnaire was used as the tool to collect data from 374 users. Statistics used for analyzing data were frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and path analysis.
The results revealed that (1) safety climate, safety communication and feedback and safety rules and procedures had positive influence on safety knowledge; (2) safety climate, safety communication and feedback and safety rules and procedures had positive influence on safety motivation; (3) safety knowledge and safety motivation had positive influence on safety participation; and (4) safety knowledge and safety motivation had positive influence on safety compliance.
