Linking the Logistics concept (7R's Principle) of Pork distribution during the Covid-19 situation of Karnkosol Company Limited
Abstract
The purposes of this research were to: (1) study the different personal factors related to the logistics management concept (7R's Principle) in the pork distribution in the COVID-19 situation of the company as a case study (2) study the buying behavior for pork meat related to the logistics management concept (7R's Principle) in the pork distribution in the COVID-19 situation of the company as the case study and (3) study the logistics management concept (7R's Principles) affecting the linkage and application in the pork distribution in the COVID-19 situation of the company as the case study. 424 samples used in the research were general buyers or sellers, wholesalers and retailers in Bangkok and metropolitan areas, who had knowledge and understanding of the purchasing and distribution of pork from the company as the case study. The study analyzed the data using descriptive statistics such as percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The inferential statistics were chi-square and Pearson’s chi-squared test.
Research results: (1) most of the respondents were general people, were female, aged 20 – 35 years, earned Junior high school / high school / vocational certificate, had marriage status, were merchants or personal business owners, and had average monthly income and average family income of 50,001 baht or more. (2) As a whole, the factor of personal characteristics in term of marital status was related to the linkage of logistics concepts in all dimensions (7R's principle) in the pork distribution in the COVID-19 situation of the company as the case study at the significance level of 0.001. (3) The buying behavior for pork meat in the area of any problems directly affecting the purchasing choices, had strong relationship with the linkage of the logistics concept in all dimensions (7R's Principle) in the pork distribution in the COVID-19 situation of the company as the case study at the significance level of 0.001. (4) The selection of pork distribution in the right place, which was one of the logistics concept (7R's Principle) in the pork distribution in the COVID-19 situation of the company as the case study, got the score at the highest level, a mean of 4.81 and a standard deviation of 0.765.
