Education Discourse in the Writings of Siwakarn Patoommasoot

Abstract

The aim of this article was to analyze the discourse on education in the writings of Siwakarn Patoommasoot and his writings under the pen name of Thamakorn and Chan Woralak after the promulgation of the National Education Act A.D. 1999 to the present, which included the work presented in form of a book and the works presented through social media (Facebook). The results of the study showed that the discourse on education in the writings of Siwakarn Patoommasoot was divided into 4 concepts: 1) Education Identical with Life, 2) Rebellious Conscience against Educational System, 3) Education and Traveling towards Freedom, and 4) Alternative Education for a Peaceful Life.
