Green Organization Management of Environmentally Friendly Hotels in the South-western of Thailand
Abstract
This research objective was to study the Green Organization Management of Environmentally Friendly Hotels in the South-western of Thailand. This qualitative research were considerate as the case study selective by using of purposeful sampling method from the national environment board data - base, which Paradise Koh Yao hotel was certified as environmental friendly hotel by awarded of silver pedal, B.D 2559 - 2561.
The research instruments used in data collection stage were in-depth interview with observation. The data were collected from the senior managers of hotel environment division. The qualitative data were content analyzed.
The results showed that Green organization management of Environmental Friendly Hotel in South-western were consisted of the four major factors; the 1st factor stands for “3 R of Nature Environment principles”, composed of 1) Solar energy substitution 2) Water reused and recycle treatment, 3) Reduction to the source of garbage and increasing of recycle ratio. The 2nd factor stands for “The Organization culture” was diversity culture. The 3rd factor stands for “Transformational leadership” was idealized influence, and The 4th factor stands for “Green service policy”, those were 1) Support of enough environment budget 2) Utilize only of green products without non -chemical substances in hotel. 3) Giving knowledge of green service skill to hotel employee in order to increasing of repeating customers.
