Buddhism to Ease Anger

Abstract

   This study has two purposes. (1) To study the concept of anger management. (2) To study the principles of Buddhism in the development of the human mind to eliminate the anger. The study found that Buddhist doctrines, the development of mental awareness, anger and effective implementation. The key is the development of conscience with the principle of mercy by training, develop compassion in oneself regularly. It can create and develop emotional mood not angry. Principle of mercy/ Principles of Buddhism is the protection that causes anger. Mental development with moral and virtue in concentration level is to relief defilement in a while. Those who can reduce the anger must have good bodily behaviors and are recognized as ethical person. This is the standard of civilized man in morality.

   Anger can be classified into 2 types. There are anger within the mental and anger that manifests itself in behavior. The way in which people express themselves depends on the situation and the environment. Control of anger is a major mental development process. The Buddhist approach is the mental development process in order to adjust physical and verbal behaviors for living a life with physical and mental happiness in the psychological and Buddhist viewpoints, i.e. to cultivate mindfulness, tolerance and loving-kindness. In controlling the anger, mindfulness, tolerance and loving-kindness should be cultivated in the precept level. According to psychology, human fundamental need is safety or security. Precepts are the principles for controlling behaviors and the civilized standard in social relation. In reducing the anger, mindfulness, tolerance and loving-kindness should be cultivated in the concentration level. This is the standard of civilized man in morality. Mental development is essential to physical development and it is accepted by both psychology and Buddhism.
