The Relationship between Leadership Personality and Work Performance of Employees Case study: ThyssenKrupp Materials (Thailand) Co.,Ltd.

Abstract

                  The objectives of this 1) To study were to investigate employee opinions towards the leadership personality. 2) To study the performance of employees. 3) To study the relationship between the leadership personality and the performance of the employees of ThyssenKrupp Materials (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The population of this study was 280 employees of ThyssenKrupp Materials (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The questionnaire was used as the research instrument. Data were analyzed through percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson's correlation coefficient.

The results of this study showed as follows.

  1. At both overall and individual aspects, the employees' opinion towards leadership personality was at highest level. Social characteristic has the highest mean score, followed by work characteristic, and physical characteristic.
  2. At both overall and individual aspects, the employees' opinion towards work performance was at highest level. Work process had the highest mean score, followed by personal performance, and productivity.
  3. Overall leadership personality and social characteristic, and work characteristic were highly related to work performance with a statistical significance level of .05.
