Violation of privacy rights in information sharing in Thailand social networks

Abstract

                  This research aims to study on the behavior of sharing information, the motivation to share information content and the violations of privacy rights in sharing information of people in leadership levels in society, business and politics in Thailand social networks. By learning from information obtained from the questionnaire, together with in-depth interviews of a number of joint research group (53 people) who are the user on social networks that has  master's degree or higher and works with subordinates or has a leadership position in society, business and politics. The study found that research participants have judgement achieved in consumption, as well as sharing information content. The motivation to share information content is based on benefits and affectation after sharing. Once the violation of privacy rights occur, they tend to protect themselves by explaining the facts and/or correcting the data with concerning of non-impact on others. Therefore, it was concluded that research participants given the judgment and responsibility of using social networks in sharing information content. They aren't users who violate the privacy rights of others in sharing information and content.
