Impact Resulting of Alcohol Behaviors Among of Rangsit University Student

Abstract

               The objectives of this study were to study 1) alcoholic drinks behaviors of Rangsit University students 2) problems and Impacts on Rangsit University students from bars in Muang Ake urban areas, Pathum Thani. The questionnaire was verified by content validity and reliability test. The Cronbach’s Alpha reliability test was used for 30 participants and the reliability of 0.927 was shown for this study. In addition, 400 participants, who were Rangsit University students, were asked to fill out the questionnaire.

                The results indicated that the majority of participants were male with 19-21 years old, they were mainly first-year students earned average monthly incomes is less than 10,000 baht.The students were mainly from the faculty of engineering - technology. They mostly popular alcohol drinking is beer, and the students mostly drink alcohol 1-3 bottle/can. They mostly start drinking alcohol at the age of 18-20 years old. Most of them drink with their friend at the pub and bar under special occasions. In addition, the study results indicated that the Impacts on Rangsit University students from bars in Muang Ake urban areas, Pathum Thani in terms of impact on self is at high level. And in terms of impact on society is at medium level. The results of hypothesis testing showed that the alcoholic drinks behaviors of Rangsit University students affecting Rangsit University students in terms of impact on self and society at the significant level of 0.05.
