Abstract

Pressure ulcers are an important health problem that can be found especially in the elderly, at risk groups, having dependent conditions and being hospitalized. Elderly caregivers who are family members play an important role in participating in caring for these elderly patients. This report is a pilot study aimed at preventing the occurrence of pressure ulcers in the elderly, at risk groups with dependency by caregivers participating in care. The result of this study is a report of what happened to each patient and the caregiver who were taken care of by professional nurse. Its result can be improved and implemented as a further research project in order to study the effect of prevention of pressure ulcers in this elderly group.
