Abstract

A study of guidelines for resolving and controlling overdue loans for more than 3 months(Npls) of the Government Savings Bank, Debt Control and Management Center, SamutSakhon. The objective is to study the nature of the problem and the cause of the real problem of Npls over 3 months and to study the characteristics of the customer groups with Npls over 3 months. A study from data reporting over 3 months overdue(Npls) data from 2016 – 2018 of the Government Savings Bank, Debt Control and Management Center, SamutSakhon and use the tools in this study using secondary data. Which can be divided into types of loans that are used as collateral for loans such as housing loans, row houses, Sai Thong Loan, Citizens Bank loans(happy people), etc., and types of loans that use personal guarantees as loans, sush as Citizen Bank loans., Welfare loan, Loans for professional development, Community Enterprise Development Loan(Individual), Informal Debt Recovery Loan(PSA), Civil State Loan for people etc. Which uses mathematical methods to help, including statistical data by using the data collected to analyze the nature of the problem and the cause of the problem of overduemore than 3 months(Npls) and to study the characteristics of the customer group with loans that are overdue more than 3 months(Npls) by using the frequency characteristics collection by specifying the topic of the problem encountered by applying the same criteria every year in order to know the increasing number of problem in each year by taking the data of every year to analyze and set the main topics. From the study found that number of problem or causes encountered in 2016-2018, a total of 33,306 cases. Problem that most debtors do not can first pay off debt, which is 26,651 debtors with reduced ability to pay off debt when applying forloans. Accounting for 80.02%.The second problem is not being able to comtact 5,416 debtors or 16.26%. The third problem is moved the office of 1,097 debtors, accounting for 3.29%. The last problem is 142 uninhabited collateral is 0.43%, which problems and causes from the collection and study most of them were caused by debtors and banks cannot can be controlled. Therefore, banks must give prudent and concise loans using the 5’C theory in order to able to remedy and control overdue more than 3 months(Npls) to reduce and meet the target of the bank set.
