Abstract

This research aims to study the role of emotions in political conflict inThailand during the years 2006-2019. Researchers have applied the theory of affect as an analytical tool, using political expression through social network named Facebook as a case study. This research is a documentary research by exploring related articles and research. Together with observing groups or Facebook pages that discuss, exchange ideas on social, political and public issues to analyze affective practice in online society. The study found the emotions that play an important role in Thai politic through online social networks are emotions of hate that related to popular nationalism. This emotion has created "us", "them" and "the others" that lead to an important foundation of conflict and create a political of hate (or hate politic) until today.
