Abstract
Halal Tourism is considered as a new market concerning the tourism management that response to the need of Muslims. This management starts by giving the services from the beginning of the site up to the end of destination. At present Halal tourism is the fast growing and very attractive market, partly due to the large number of Muslim population and the increasing economic potential of the Muslim around the World. Thailand is the country that has its strength in tourism industry. This makes the Halal tourism one of the important business and opportunity for Thailand in the upcoming era of ASEAN Economic Community. The objective of this article is to collect the information and knowledge, including the literature, relating to Halal tourism. However, the study also tried to analysis the current situation and future trends of the demand and supply of the world Halal tourism market, especially in the potential member countries of ASEAN, that would reflect the opportunity for Thailand in the field of Halal tourism market.
