Thai Language Understanding Ability of Chinese Exchange Students of Rangsit University : Intercultural Communication

Abstract

This article aimed to study understanding ability in Thai language among exchanged Chinese students in Thai Department, Rangsit University , the samples in this study were exchanged 28 Chinese students from Oxbride College, Kunming University of Science and Technology who studied in semester year 1/2020. Tools used in this study were questionnaire and interview, data was analyzed in statistics and percentage. Results showed most of the students had good understanding in verbal language, excepts idioms and meaning construction. Most of the students had good understanding in non-verbal language except symbolic interpretation.
