The Observation on word usage in tourism works on the internet

Abstract

This article studied the word usage in tourism work in various mediums, such as advertisements, video clips, television programs, websites, and tourism books. It was found that 10 types of words were used: taboo words, slang words, words that make visualization, words that most people understand, word additives, foreign words, words that do not appear together in everyday language use, express-feeling words, request words, and abbreviations. The senders chose those word types to persuade the receivers to visit tourist attractions or to want to use the services of tourism businesses according to information that has been provided by various mediums and provides income to many localities.
