Abstract

The objective of this research was to study 1) the needs assessment for learning and self-improvement of new muslim women who convert to Islam through marriage 2) study the types of Islamic learning media that new Muslim women are interested in. This research is a survey research. The population was New Muslim women who converted to Islam by marriage in Bangkok by using convenient or volunteer sampling and there were 51 informants. The research instruments were the needs assessment of for learning and self-improvement of
new Muslim women who convert to Islam through marriage based on the concept of Islamic principles questionnaires. The data were analyzed by frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and (PNIModified). The results found that the needs assessment for learning and selfimprovement of new muslim women who convert to Islam through marriage overall was 0.497 (PNIModified = 0.497). When analyzed in the item, the results were found that the quran was the highest priority need (PNIModified = 1.562). The second
highest priority need was the Relationship with the original family (PNIModified = 0.670) The third highest priority need was Islamic Religious Practice (PNIModified = 0.463). The lowest priority need was the daily life of Islam (PNIModified = 0.230). The type of Islamic learning media that new muslim women are most interested in is Islamic education websites
