Abstract

This article is an investigation of the leadership and roles of Anand Panyarachun, a former Thai Prime Minister, as a model leader on the basis of historical research methodology and review of related literature and videos. With his unique leadership, vision, and administrative strategies, he originated a concept so-called “Good Governance.” He applied the concept to national administration, making him acknowledged by Thai citizen in spite the fact that the way he was appointed Prime Minister was against democratic norms. His emphasis on the principle of transparency and accountability, he could resolve significant problems and pursue policies, successfully making them reach the goals. With his administrative excellence, Mr Anand Panyarachun could gain so much trust that he was offered significant positions in government and private agencies as well as international
