Abstract

ABSTRACT

There were three objectives of this study. The first was to investigate the availability of virtual server technology for the remote hydrological monitoring systems for the responsible personnel in government agencies, such as the Office of Water Management and Hydrological Affairs, Royal Irrigation Department as well as the system maintenance administrators in the private sectors. The second objective was to analyze the factors affecting the availability of virtual server technology. The hydrological remote sensing system was the driving force behind the development and adoption of the current system. The third objective was to study the efficiency of virtual host computer technology application for hydrological remote sensing systems in the government agencies. The interview schedules were used to obtain data. These scheduled were evaluated by the experts. There were 52 participants. The sample size was based on the Central Limit Theorem (CLT). The period of data collection for this research was made between December 2560 end March 2561. The findings indicated that the availability of virtual host computer technology for hydrological remote sensing systems was at the high level. Furthermore, the demographic groups were aged between 26 and 40 years old with bachelor’s degrees. The working experience were under 5 years as a system user and had the minimal computer skills. The factors related to readiness and technology transfer are three aspects: theory of technological readiness, theory of knowledge, and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The technological readiness and knowledge was at the moderate level. The results of the survey showed that the employees had less work experience and less computer skills. The technology and experience of the personnel must be developed. The capabilities of the device and the operating system of the technology. Finally, the TAM was at the high level. The results of most of the surveys are in the early stages of work. A minimum level of experience. The people in this group are important to the acceptance of innovation. Especially of commercial innovations. This group will decide whether to accept the technology and innovation immediately, even with a little computer skills.
