THE SUITABLE VIETNAMESE WEBSITE FOR HEALTHCARE INFORMATION IN THAILAND

Abstract

Nowaday, there are increasing number of Vietnamese patients that prefer to admitted to Thailand hospital for medical treatment. There is a great demand on medical treatment information in Thailand for them. Currently, the website that serves target audience still has inadequate information and has not been designed systematically. This research was aimed get the right information for designing the complete website that most meets the needs of users. Therefore, user needs had to be explored by letting users evaluate the current web site. The data obtained from the evaluation was brought to the design of 3 new prototype websites where their features and elements were distinct. Then the experiment teams were requested to choose the website that had the feature as they needed most. The results revealed that the experiment team chose the first website that had ease of use and searching feature most with the frequency of 30.8%. The second website which was the content-based featured was chosen only 13.2% frequency. The most popular and preferred website was the third website that was colorful and bright graphics with the frequency of 56%. The results of the evaluation will be further used as a guide to complete the website.
