THE STUDY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN SELLING AIR TICKET FROM AGENTS IN PATTAYA CITY

Abstract

           The study of information technology in selling ticket via agents in Pattaya City, Chonburi province has objective 1) to study information technology in selling ticket via agents in Pattaya City, Chonburi province 2) to analyze customer in selling ticket via agent in Pattaya City, Chonburi province. The method in collocate data is interview by use sample random sampling and choose sample by snowball sampling method, the sampling has 12 sampling which registered in Yellow Page Pattaya and Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). Result has found that Amadeus system is the most population system next one is Galileo and Abacus respectively. All system that mentioned are free of charge when agent apply to be a distributor but agent must training before selling  and must maintenance and keep always update, in issue tickets via agents can issue more than 120 airlines

           The first group of customers is almost loyalty customers and group tour who repeat to purchase the ticket. Agents use customer – orientate method via social network and E-mail to achieve customer’s satisfaction. Payment method can be done by cash, credit card and bill within 30 days with after sale service. The second group of customers is foreigner in Russian and Europe who is Traveler agents by use customer -  orientate the same as loyalty customer and group tour but agents will improve in English and Russian language and agent will provide hotel and rent car for complete customer’s need and the third group of customer is walk- in customers who will come for ask price for compare ticket price with price from in smart application after they found the ticket price from is cheaper they will by form agents.
