WORKING EFFICIENCY OF EMPLOYEES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF CHANNELS AND DIGITALIZATION AREA 7 OF UNITED OVERSEAS BANK PUBLIC LIMITED

Abstract

The purposes of this independent is (1)to study the demography factors affect to employee efficiency of united overseas bank public limited, department channels & digitalization in area 7, and (2) to study the work efficiency factor of employee in department of channels & digitalization area 7 of united overseas bank public. The research study instrument was questionnaires applied to 295 employees of the department of channels & digitalization area 7 of united overseas bank public limited. Statistics used were the analysis of frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, t-test, F-test and multiple regression.

From the results,  it was found that most of participants were female age between 31-40 year-old, marital status was single, education level was bachelor’s degree, range of incomes were between 40,000-60,000 Bath per month, job position was teller, and years of employment ranged between 11-15 years. The overall result of working environment was in moderate level and average mean was equal to 3.14. The interpersonal relationship was at high level and average mean was equal to 3.75. The advancement of career path was at high level and average mean was equal to 4.19 and overall welfare was at high level and average mean was equal to 3.58.              

The hypothesis test results showed that               

1) The different demographic factors such as gender, marital status, education level, job title, income and years of employment have significantly influenced to the working efficiency of employees in the department of channels & digitalization area 7 of united  overseas bank public limited in different characters at statistical significance level  0.05.                

2) Job characteristics and motivation results of interpersonal relationship (β = 0.295), Welfare (β = 0.295), advancement of career path (β = 0.295) and environment (β = 0.295) affected to employee performance of the united overseas bank public limited department channel & digitalization in area 7 differently at statistical significance level 0.05, with predictive value 19.3 percent.
