DEVELOPMENT OF SCIENTIFIC PROCESS SKILL FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD THROUGH STEM LEARNING METHOD

Abstract

                The purpose of this research were  to study the use of STEM   technic  in  developing  science skills   for  kindergarten’s  student  and  to  study  the  kindergarten’s  students  toward  learning  by  STEM  Technic. The population were  12  kindergarten’s  students  in  level 1 – 2 at  of Watkanjanaram School,Phrae ( in 2016 ) .The material used in this research were 24 STEM lesson plans, Science skills’ test, satisfied interview form and opservation form. The  mean  points, standard  deviation  and  T-Test  were  used  for  statistical  analysis.The  result  of  this  research  were  shown  that  after  learning  by using  STEM  technic,   the  students  had  higher  score  than  befor  using  the  technic ;from  50.67  up  to  73.17,with  the  standard  deviation  at  0.5.  Moreover,  the  students  were  very  satisfied  with  learning  by  STEM  technic  with  90.20%.Also, the  behavior  observation  were  shown  that  the  students  were  more  enthusiastic  and  more  interested  in  learning, the presenting  and  telling  story  continuously  develop , and  there  were  more  asking  and  answering  to  the  questions  during  learning.Finally, the  interview  said  that  the  students  can learn  and  adapt  science  skills  with  STEM  technic  very  well.
