THE STUDY OF KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT STATUS OF ENGLISH PROGRAM: ENGLISH LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION POLICY

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study the knowledge management status of English Program affecting English language instruction policy; 2) to study personal factors and school status factors knowledge management of English Program affecting English language instruction policy. Questionnaires were employed to collect data from 210 School administrators and instructors in English Program. Data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistic and One-Way Analysis of Variance: One – Way ANOVA.

The findings revealed that the overall of the knowledge management status of English Program in English language instruction policy were at high level in all 6 sides: Knowledge Vision (  = 4.11), Knowledge Creation    (  = 3.92), Knowledge Validation and Application (  = 3.96), Knowledge Sharing (  = 3.91), Knowledge Acquisition (  = 3.84), and Knowledge Storage (  = 3.76) respectively. It stated that the experiences had an affect on knowledge vision on knowledge management in studying. Moreover, the aspect of school location had an affect on knowledge management of English Program in English language instruction policy. Finally, the number of Thai teachers that teach English language had an affect on knowledge vision, knowledge acquisition, knowledge creation, knowledge storage, and knowledge validation and application on knowledge Management of English Program in English language instruction policy.
