THE EFFECTS OF USING SONGS IN TEACHING CHINESE ON LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT OF PRIMARY ONE STUD

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to study : 1) to compare the Prathomsuksa 1 students’achievement between before learning and after learning through sing songs supplement in teaching Chinese who obtained 80 percent of total scores. 2) to compare the Prathomsuksa 1 students’achievement between before learning and after learning through using songs supplement in teaching Chinese. The sample was 30 Prathomsuksa 1 students in the second semester of the academic year 2560 from Watpromjariyawas School, this sample was selected by cluster random sampling.  The research instrument consisted of 1) 4lesson plans of Chinese learning based on songs was at a high level. 2) The Chinese achievement test haring 20 items with 3 choices, the degree of difficulty between 0.25-0.65, the discrimination power between 0.20-0.80 and the reliability coefficient of 0.45.

The findings were as follows:

1) The prathomsuksa 1 students’achievement after being taught using songs supplement were higher than before statistically at the .05 level of significance.

2) The Prathomsuksa 1 student’achievement after being taught using songs supplement were higher than 80 percent of the total scores.
