GUIDELINES FOR SCHOOL INFORMATION SYSTEM MANAGEMENT IN CHAI NAT EDUCATION SERVICE AREA OFFICE

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study the problem and to find out the guidelines for School Information System Management under Chai Nat Educational Service Area Office. This research consisted of 2 parts 1) to study of the problem in School Information System Management under Chai Nat education service area office. The sample was selected using of  310  school  administrators  and  teachers  from 1,518 people in  Chai Nat  education  service  area  office. Data was collected by a 5-level rating scale questionnaire with reliability of 0.92 The analysis was conducted by using frequency, percentage, mean (x) and standard deviation in fine detail 2) to find out the guidelines for School Information System Management under Chai Nat education service area office by organizing a group discussion of 7 experts.           

Overall, the research results revealed that the problem of School Information System Management was at a medium level. The highest problem was data storage, the next were data check, data analysis, data procession, data collection and the lowest problem was data application. From the result of finding out the guidelines for School Information System Management in Chai Nat education service area office, the researcher found 6 aspects; 1) data collection: schools should provide clear on each side data collection system for complete information and same category by arranginga meeting of stakeholders to brainstorm, to create a complete data retention as the objectives. 2) data check: schools verify the present of collected data before developing into school information by the audit committee  checking in accurate and up to date. 3) data procession: schools supply promotion budget,  tools and equipment in processing data with modernization and promote the responsible person for providing knowledge, information processing and ability in a wide variety of data processing. 4) data storage: schools have collected data in the form of a report and in the form of files on the computer to prevent data loss and convenience in searching for information to use. 5)data analysis: schools analyze the information covered by the aim of applications. 6) data application: schools should provide information in concrete such as statistic, graph for the clear result, for the adopt decisions to formulate policies on the development of the next further education
