SELF-IDENTIFICATION OF FACEBOOK USERS BELONGING TO GENERATION C IN BANGKOK

Abstract

This quantitative research purposed to study the self-identification of the general C how they disclose their identification on Facebook social network and their behavior of using Facebook. For the validity and the reliability of the research, Cronbach's alpha method was applied with the sample group of 25 persons. The reliability is 0.885 and the total number of the sample group was 400 persons.

Regarding the result, most of the sample group had the age of 25-34 years old (56.5%) use Facebook daily (94.5%), and the average usage per day was 7 hours (29.5%). The duration with the highest frequency is 17.01 -21.00 (38.3%). The reason of usage mostly is for entertainment or relaxation (56.5%) Moreover, self-identification in terms of personal information disclosure, message post, sharing an opinion, share, and uploading pictures, is at the high level.

According to the hypothesis testing, the difference of demographic characteristics affects self-identification in terms of personal information disclosure, message post, sharing an opinion, share, and uploading pictures differently with statistical significance at 0.05.
