STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT AND ENTREPRENEURS NEEDS IN THE RETAILING OF CONVENIENCE STORES IN HATYAI MUNICIPALITY SONGKHLA PROVINCE

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study entrepreneurial needs and business strategies of retail business: convenience stores in area of Hat Yai district, Songkhla province, and 2) to analyze correlation between entrepreneurial needs and business strategies of retail business: convenience stores in area of Hat Yai district, Songkhla province. Research sample consisted of 260 entrepreneurs who run the convenience stores in area of Hat Yai district, Songkhla province. The sample size was calculated from Yamane Formula. Questionnaires of which reliability .924, were used for data collection. Analytical statistics were percentage, mean, and Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient.

The research revealed that: 1) the entrepreneurial needs both entirely and each aspect were at high level. 2) The importance of business strategies for the convenience stores, the study found that the entrepreneurs realized for the importance of the strategies at high level, both entirely and each aspect. 3)The correlation between entrepreneurial needs and business strategies of retail business: convenience stores in area of Hat Yai district,  the research found that the in general, there is no relationship.
