STUDY SELECTS LOCATION FOR EXPANSION OF MUNKONG-PATTANA STEEL SHOP IN THE METROPOLITAN AREA

Abstract

Munkong-Pattana Steel shop is a middle-size store that sells several types of steel materials. In order to expand the business and increase customer base, Munkong-Pattana Steel shop needs to find an additional location to open a new shop. In in this paper, a location selection process for this new shop by comparing 3 provinces such as Nonthaburi, Smut Prakan and Pathum Thani is explained together with the strategic directions for this new shop. The selection process starts with identifying the appropriate province for the new shop using a hierarchical decision analysis (AHP) and the weighting factor method. Then the center of gravity technique is applied to determine the best location within the selected province is in Thepharak district, Smut Prakan and has defined marketing strategies and study the competitor trade to plan a business, add value to the product. The company has defined the products that are sold are cement mix TPI brand statistical data on housing construction materials in Smut Prakan province.
