Abstract

The Bank of Thailand and the Thai government have facilitated the country to become cashless society as a root in building digital economy. Then, the researchers attempted to study positive impact of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, compatibility, subjective norm, perceive risk, social value, perceived trust, and perceived cost towards intention of using electronic cash behavior of employees in Bangkok area. The population of this study was employees of private and public organizations in Bangkok of around 5.6 million people.  The researchers calculated the sample size from Cohen principles with 40 sets of questionnaire for the pilot test using G*Power version 3.1.7; as a result, 239 was the result from the calculation.  The convenience sampling was implemented and the 239 survey questionnaire were collected during April 2017 and analyzed using multiple regression analysis.  The researchers revealed that perceived ease of use (β = 0.313), compatibility (β = 0.289), and subjective norm (β = 0.217) were explained 49.3% of the positive influence towards intention of using electronic cash behavior of employees in Bangkok area at .01 significant level.
