A CONFIRMATORY FACTOR ANALYSIS OF SELF-ABILITY AWARENESS ON INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND COMMUNICATION ON VOCATIONAL STUDENT IN BURIRAM PROVINCE

Abstract

This research had the objective to analyze a confirmatory factor of self-ability awareness on information technology and communication on vocational students in Buriram Province by survey research. The sample group was students in vocational education level in a college at vocational level study of Buriram in the total of 3 colleges in the number of 500 students. The tools used in the research was collection of data by coincidental sampling which was rating scale questionnaire with 7 levels with the accuracy of 0.98. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and confirmative component analysis.

From the research, it was found that confirmative component of the self-ability awareness on information technology and communication of vocational level students, Buriram consisting of 4 components as follows: 1.Basic skill 2.Data file skill and software 3.High level skill 4.Internet skill. The model was consistent with the witness data by considering from CMIN/DF=1.72, CFI=1.0, TLI=1.0, RMSEA=.04. This would be beneficial to the faculty and lecturers who could implement it in the teaching in order to develop the ability of learners regarding information technology and communication. Moreover, executives or concerned people could use it as a guideline in planning to evaluate knowledge on information technology and communication of learners to have more quality.
