The Effect of Digital Disruption on Commercial Bank Employees’ Performance

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the digital disruption factors affecting the performance of commercial bank employees with an emphasis on work capacity, job security concern, happiness and freedom at work, relationship with colleagues, and loyalty to organization. The questionnaire was used to collect data from simple random samplings of 430 samples. The analysis of the results from the binary logistic regression was found that, firstly, government’s policy on digital economy positively affected the commercial bank employees’ job security concern. Secondly, company’s policy on technology investment positively affected the commercial bank employees’ happiness and freedom at work and the commercial bank employees’ loyalty. Lastly, change in customers’ behaviors negatively affected the commercial bank employees’ job security concern. The study results could be used to determine the human resources management policies in the commercial banks efficiently.
