FACTORS THAT CONTRIBUTED TO THE OUTSTANDING DEBT OF CUSTOMERS OF THE GOVERNMENT SAVINGS BANK IN SURATTHANI 2 AREA

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the factors that contributed to the outstanding debt of customers of the Government Savings Bank in SuratThani 2 area, and to be a guideline to solve the problem of debt owed by the customer of the savings bank in SuratThani 2 area. The data were collected from all 400 creditors of the Government Savings Bank in SuratThani 2 area using a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using SPSS program to investigate the probability of the unpaid debtors of the Government Savings Bank customers in SuratThani 2 area.

According to studies, it has been found that for the Government Savings Bank customers in SuratThani 2 areamost are between 30 and 40 years old, have a marital status, studiedfor a bachelor degree andhave an occupation as a private company employee.The second most frequent occupation were farmers. The average income per household is between 20,001 - 30,000 Baht.There are 3 to 4 family members. The average monthly living expenses amounted to 15,001-20,000 Baht. Monthly average debt was 5,000 -10,000 baht. The factors that lead to outstanding product liability are at a high level. The highest score was ‘the maximum usage limit is based on objective’. The service is at a high level. The highest score in various debt payment channels was theLoan service users of the Government Savings Bank in SuratThani 2 area had outstanding debts ata high level. The highest score in having financial problems was ‘makes it impossible to repay on time’.
