FACTORS AFFECTING THE AMOUNT OF INVESTMENT IN THE STOCK EXCHANGE OF THAILAND

Abstract

The purpose of this study aims to study the influence of various factors related to the amount of investment in the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The objectives of this study were to study the relationship and direction of the economic factors that affect the amount of investment in the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The population in this study are a member of the Stock Exchange of Thailand by collecting a historical data monthly total of 120 months. The statistical analyzes were descriptive statistics and multiple regression equations. Then, estimate the value of each independent variable. The results are describe the relationship of independent variables to the amount of investment in the Stock Exchange of Thailand.                   

The study indicated that the exchange rate and consumer confidence index it was statistically significant at 0.05 level in the same direction as the amount of investment in the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The dividend yield of the Stock Exchange of Thailand is in the opposite direction to the amount of investment in the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The interest rate and the inflation are not correlated with the amount of investment in the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
