Abstract

The objectives of the research were (1) to study people's attitudes towards the coup d’état: a case study of Ban Phraek Subdistrict Municipality in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province and (2) to compare the personal factors affecting people's attitudes towards the coup d’état: a case study of Ban Phraek Subdistrict Municipality in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. This research is quantitative. The sample was 324 people.

The results revealed that the people’s attitudes towards the coup d’état: a case study of Ban Phraek Subdistrict Municipality were overall the least agreeable ( =1.25). When separated by aspects, it was found that the majority of the samples rated the economic attitude the least (=1.28), followed by the democracy promotion ( =1.25), the bureaucratic development (=1.24), and the security development (=1.21). 

According to the hypothesis testing, it was found that with differences in gender, age, occupation, education, and income, people's attitudes towards the coup d’état: a case study of Ban Phraek Subdistrict Municipality in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province were significantly different at the statistical level of .05.
