Public Attitudes Towards The Economic Administration of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O-Cha’S Government : A Case Study of Khok Samrong Nunicipality, Khok Samrong District, Lopburi Province

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) to explore public attitudes towards the economic administration of Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-o-cha’s government and 2) to compare demographic factors affecting the public attitudes. This quantitative research was conducted by collecting data from 400 samples who lived in the area under the supervision of Khok Samrong Municipality, Khok Samrong District, Lopburi Province.

The result revealed that the public attitudes towards the economic administration of Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-o-cha’s government was low (bar{X}= 1.97). The government’s measures to alleviate the effects of Covid-19 displayed the highest mean (bar{X}= 2.26), followed by the enhancement of economic potential (bar{X}= 1.93) and household income (bar{X}= 1.72), respectively.

According to the result of the hypothesis testing, the public attitudes did not vary according to age and gender. Education level, occupation, and monthly income affected the public attitudes with a significance level of 0.05.
