PEOPLE’S ATTITUDES TOWARDS POLITICAL LEADERSHIP OF GENERAL PRAYUT CHAN-O-CHA PRIME MINISTER OF THAILAND 2019 – 2020

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the attitudes of people towards the political leadership of General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister during 2019-2020: A Case Study of Ayutthaya Municipality and to compare the personal factors affecting the attitudes of people towards the political leadership of General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister during 2019-2020: A Case Study of Ayutthaya Municipality. This research was conducted using quantitative research method through a survey. The population used in this study was a sample of 396 people. The results revealed that the overall score of the attitudes of people towards the political leadership of General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister during 2019-2020: A Case Study of Ayutthaya Municipality was at a low level (X ̅=2.10). When considering each aspect, it was found that most of the people had attitudes about inspiration (X ̅=2.32), followed by intellectual stimulation (X ̅ =2.02) and charisma (X ̅ =1.96) respectively.

the results showed that people with different ages, levels of education, occupation and monthly income had different overall levels of attitudes towards political leadership of General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister, in terms of the aspects of charisma, inspiration and intellectual stimulation, whereas, with reference to people with different genders, there was no difference in the overall attitudes towards political leadership of General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister at the statistical significance level of 0.05.
