Factors Affecting the Election of Members of Parliament on 24 March 2019: A Case Study of Electoral District 4, Pathum Thani Province

Abstract

This study was aimed at investigating factors affecting the election of members of parliament in Electoral District 4, Pathum Thani Province, on 24 March 2019. In this study, questionnaires were employed to collect data from 399 respondents sampled using the cluster random sampling. The statistics used in the analysis included the descriptive statistics, i.e. percentage, mean, and standard deviation as well as the inferential statistics, i.e. t-test, one-way ANOVA (F-test), and least significant difference (LSD). The level of statistical significance was specified at 0.05.

The results showed that personal factors did not have an impact on the election. In terms of factors related to the election, it was found that the candidates, political parties, and political campaigns displayed a significance level at 0.05.
