Abstract

 This study of the relationship between job satisfaction and staff turnover intention: A case study of Smart Tech And Mat Co., Ltd. has the objective to find; (1) An employee level of job satisfaction (2) The level of staff turnover intentions and (3) The relationships between job satisfaction and staff turnover intention. Questionnaires were collected by purposive sampling from 118 current employees. Statistics used were Mean, SD and Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient. The results reveal that employee has job satisfaction levels rank quite high. The staff turnover intension was measured as medium. Most employees have quit behavior that they would not leave unless they had other work guaranteed first. Factor in “Working conditions” and “employee’s personal life”, all have an effect on staff turnover intention categorized in 3 types of quit behavior; (1) The immediate resignation behavior of an employee without notice. (2) The behavior to find new work or promotional opportunities before resignation.(3) The other behavior, such as being late or absent from work unrelated to sickness with the statistical significance level of 0.05 (p < 0.05)
