RESEARCH AND INVENTION OF HEALTH COMMUNICATION PROCESS IN DIABETES MELLITUS TYPE 2 PATIENTS

Abstract

This study aimed to research and invent the health communication process for Type 2 Diabetes patients who were able to get better from the disease after the behavioral change.  Both qualitative and quantitative research methods were applied to the study which were divided to 3 processes; planning and design, operation, and evaluation. The research samples were 38 Types 2 Diabetes patients. The results were found that the process of planning and design should start to acknowledge the patients effectively as to know how to look after themselves. The researcher then designed the workshops for two times which each operated by the two medical staffs. The contents were about blood circulation, complications of Diabetes and exchange food. There were five activities together within one hour. The samples paid so much attention on the activities. They were enthusiastic and kept responses to the lecturers. These environment led to the learning exchange as well as satisfaction toward the workshop, the content and lecture media. Also, the satisfaction evaluation of 5 activities were in high level at the average of 4.48.
