Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the factors affecting the total amount of bank deposits of the Government Savings Bank in Udonthani Zonal 1. This study used as a development. Improve And increase the amount of deposits of the Government Savings Bank to increase even more. Those factors are the policy interest rate (INT), Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Inflation (INF), The unemployment rate (UNEM) and The number of branches of the Government Savings Bank in Udonthani (BR).

This study uses time series data every quarters from the first quarter of 2007 to the fourth quarter of 2016. The multiple regression with the least square method is used to analyze the data.

The results show that the unemployment rate (UNEM) and the number of the Government Savings Bank branches (BR) positively affect the total amount of bank deposits of the Government Savings Bank at the statistical significant level of 0.05. The policy interest rate (INT) negatively affects the total amount of bank deposits of the Government Savings Bank at the statistical significant level of 0.05. However, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and inflation rate (INF) do not affect the total amount of bank deposits of the Government Savings Bank significantly.
