Guidelines for the Development of Intercultural Communication Thai-Cambodian in the Organization Case Study of Export Business of Milott Laboratiories Company Limited

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study and compare the state's communication and adaptation in intercultural communication between supervisors and foreign operations staff. And to study good practices about intercultural communication in organizations. The sample consisted of 2 Thai supervisors and 294 Cambodia operations staff. The instrument was a 5-point rating scale questionnaire, with discrimination power between .27  and .80 and the reliability coefficient of .92, The data was analyzed by percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test Independent and One-way Analysis of Variance. The research results showed that the state's communication and adaptation in intercultural communication between supervisors and Cambodia operations staff both overall and individual aspects, were at high level. And the compare of Cambodia operations staff’s opinions towards the state's communication and adaptation in intercultural communication classified by gender, age and working experience found no statistically significant difference. And results showed that the good practices of forms intercultural communication in organizations were downward communication and upward communication. The guidelines for the development of forms intercultural communication in the organizations of foreign operations staff were horizontal communication.
