Factors Affecting The Job Motivation of Operational Employees in Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Abstract

This Independent study has the objectives follows: (1) to study individual factors that influence the motivation of operational employees in Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (2) to study administrative factors that influence the motivation of operational employees in Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (3) to study environmental factors that influence the motivation of operational employees in Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The population in this research is 6,000 employees in Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The researcher used the questionnaire as the data collection tool with a sampling group consisting of 380 persons. According to the data analysis, the researcher applied descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics, including t-test, F-test and multiple regression analysis.

The results found that:

1) Individual factors, including different education and incomes, influence the the motivation of operational employees in Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. with statistical significance at 0.05

2) Administrative factors, including command and control, influence the the motivation of operational employees in Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. with statistical significance at 0.05 and predictive power at 15.7%.  

3) Environment factors, including opportunity for advancement, communication and benefits, influence the the motivation of operational employees in Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd.  with statistical significance at 0.05 and predictive power at 27.3%.
