THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WORK MOTIVATION AND ORGANIZATION COMMITMENT OF EMPLOYEES AT KASEMRAD SRIBURIN HOSPITAL

Abstract

          The study of relationship between work motivation and organization commitment of employees at Kasemrad Sriburin Hospital was conducted to investigate the level of work motivation, the level of organization commitment, the relationship between work motivation and organization commitment, and the relationship between personal characteristics and organization commitment of the clinical officers in Kasemrad Sriburin Hospital. The sample used in the study consisted of 149 clinical officers. The data were analyzed applying frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, One-Way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis at a significance level of .05. The results of the study revealed that the overall work motivation was rated at a high level. The highest levels of work motivation were in the aspects of status, achievement and work itself while the lowest level of work was in the aspect of salary and compensation. The overall organization commitment level was also rated at a high level. The hypotheses testing revealed that the overall work motivation had a positive relationship with the organization commitment and the work motivation in the aspects of salary and compensation, interpersonal relationship, working condition, and responsibility had a correlation with the organization commitment at .05 level of significance. However, the different personal characteristics on gender, age, marital status, duration of employment, income, department, and job position did not have a relationship with the organization commitment at .05 level of significance
